ABOUT US
Jenny – Founder of Tails of Oxford
Jenny who is originally from the Channel Islands has always been very passionate about animals and has always had dogs, cats and horses of her own. In 2015 Jenny returned to the UK after living and travelling abroad for two and a half years where she spent a large amount of her time working with animals and volunteering at dog rescue shelters.
“I have always dreamed of a career working with animals, I have had jobs working with horses in the past and whilst I was traveling I spent a huge amount of time volunteering at Dog rescue shelters. The shelter that had the biggest impact on me and really helped me to choose my career path was PAWS Mauritius. I spent 3 months at PAWS volunteering every day, walking dogs and cuddling puppies so desperately in need of a loving home. I realised whilst volunteering that this was it, I wanted to spend all day every day giving all of my love and attention to dogs! I decided that in order to do this I would set up my own dog care service when I returned to the UK. Whilst volunteering my eyes were really opened to how badly treated some dogs can be, yet they are still such loving, loyal and trusting animals. If I can make dogs happy every day and help to fulfill their needs then this will also make me happy every day.”

Whilst traveling Australia Jenny and her partner Fin rescued, ‘Dodger’ a border collie, kelpie cross (pictured right). Dodger was flown back to the UK and now heads up the Tails of Oxford team with Jenny. Jenny also has a horse called TinTin who she has owned for 18 years now. Jenny has had TinTin since she was 13 years old and TinTin moved from the Channel Islands to Oxford with Jenny as soon as she returned from abroad. TinTin now lives a happy life in Hampton Poyle riding out most days with Jenny and attending local fun rides.
